Matt Stuhler

Matt Stuhler is a certified AMGA instructor and Wilderness First Responder who enjoys sharing his passion for climbing with others. He graduated from The Citadel in 2008 and was commissioned into the Marine Corps Infantry. After serving two combat deployments to Afghanistan, being wounded in action overseas, and walking the veterans' path of transition to civilian life, Matt found rock climbing to be a particularly valuable and therapeutic practice.

After serving as a guide for numerous organizations throughout the US for several years, Matt formed Outdoor Wellness Group in 2020, a veteran-centric guiding service to assist vets and their families with the challenges of military service and the ensuing transition.

For the past 10 years, Matt has been guiding rock climbing trips throughout the United States and abroad. Matt lives with his wife and son in Tryon, North Carolina. He is wilderness medicine and rock climbing certified, has guided individuals from 6 to 68 years old, speaks English and Spanish, is highly experienced with small & large groups, and is looking forward to making your next rock climbing experience unforgettable!
